A Wild Expedition
03:48
|
|||
I think I'll go out on a wild expedition
Maybe find a place where I can breath
Its the summer of my life's trepidation
Its the summer when I can grieve
Every now and then, I feel a little older
Every now and then, I feel a bit gray
Maybe its the season
maybe its a point of view
I think I'll go
down the road
I'll sit by the water
go
outside its lonely
maybe you can take me home
take me home
take me home
I saw a preacher on a late night tv show
He said he'd save my soul if I believed
I laughed because my soul is long past saving
I laughed because its just so easy to deceive

Gazing at the Sky
03:48
|
|||
Another night when the rain keeps raging
on and on like madness
the drops explode, the puddles fill with sadness
They come at night and they stay for days
an imminent disaster
Their distant hum drones on like mocking laughter
There are noises in the silence and the volume is too loud
There is fear in our existence
there is death behind the cloud
I lie here in the darkness, gazing at the sky
I wonder when the bomb will fall
I wonder when I'll die
I fall up, I fall down
I fall round and round and round
I lie here in the darkness,
gazing at the sky
And when they strike, the world explodes
and rips apart the blameless
the screams persist, the bugsplat is not nameless
I live in fear of random acts
of senseless maddening violence
and wonder why the hatred is so vibrant
There are noises in the silence and the volume is too loud
There is fear in our existence
there is death behind the cloud
I lie here in the darkness, gazing at the sky
I wonder when the bomb will fall
I wonder when I'll die
I fall up, I fall down
I fall round and round and round
I lie here in the darkness,
wonder when I'll die

Hey Lynnie
05:07

Hey Lynnie will you hold my hand
as we wander through this life?
Hey Lynnie will you hold me close
through the good times and the strife?
Hey Lynnie where's your beautiful smile
that makes everything so right?
Hey Lynnie can we laugh again
find the joy that's in plain sight?
I love you
Always you
Hey Lynnie do you remember when
we chased the future not the past?
Hey Lynnie will you still love me
when we're alone again at last?
Hey Lynnie will you break my heart
when the summer turns to fall?
Hey Lynnie will you still be there
when winter makes its call?
I love you
Always you
Some days when the walls close in
it can feel so dark for a while
another day in a never-ending trial
But even then, in an hour or two,
Don't know exactly when
I will look at you and smile
Hey Lynnie I will hold your hand
as we wander through this life
Hey Lynnie I will hold you close
through the good times and the strife
Hey Lynnie I will find your smile
so that everythings all right
Hey Lynnie we will laugh again
find the joy that's in plain sight
I love you
Always you
Hey Lynnie I remember when
we chased the future not the past
Hey Lynnie I will still love you
when we're alone again at last
Hey Lynnie I won't break your heart
as the summer turns to fall
Hey Lynnie I will still be there
when Winter makes its call
I love you
Always you

God
03:24
|
|||
There is no hope there is no truth
just an ordinary youth
lost inside a madness that is real
And every now and then I feel a tantrum coming on
once or twice delusional but real
I saw god in a subway station
he was playing guitar with The Reggae Nation
when the subway doors slammed shut
and the engine moaned
The car began to shake and move
and God started wailing in this Hendrix groove
I missed the end, you know,
I was going home
a speck of dust, an empty smile
and time drags on for a while
and when it stops everything is grey
Maybe when the noise is gone
I'll still be raging on
lost inside the crowd, nothing to say
